About Luci

In a nutshell: I am a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, world traveler, super huge fan of Jesus, self-appointed spokesperson for partially blind people and the eye disease Retinitis Pigmentosa, trained Stephen Minister, mild mischief-maker, occasional adrenaline seeker, outdoor (camping & hiking) enthusiast, and hearty laugher.

Oh, and I like chocolate ice-cream. A lot.

Luci will not post this because she is too humble but the world needs to know that she is also an amazing person. She’s a dear friend to us and we wish her safety, happiness, fullfillment and comfortable shoes on her amazing journey.

Good or bad, I am not too humble to post your comment Eric. I really appreciate the encouragement and support! Thanks for the kind words, and for just being an all-around awesome friend!

Amen!! You are indeed an amazing – and inspirational – person! :) The blog is a fabulous idea, Luci – for one reason among many, I had been hoping to hear stories about your journey so I was delighted with your creation of this…I can feel like we’re catching up on a regular basis.

Keep the entries coming, and our thoughts, prayers, and spirits are with you on your journey! (both with journey of the pilgrimage *and* the journey through ‘real life’) :)

I have know you for a number of years both professionally and personally and I really enjoy your spirit and laugh, but I do not enjoy chocolate ice cream (at all). I wish you well on your journey and I will be sending you thoughts of encouragement and support. Best wishes and it was great seeing you on Monday. Yes, this means I have read some of your blog :) . Go Cubs!

It was wonderful to spend time with you over the weekend in Pittsburgh. It meant the world to Lynnie (and to me) that you spent so much time with her at the hospital. It is not what I originally had in mind for your visit with us! It is just another testament to your loving, giving spirit. The sparkle of your personality and enthusiasm for life is infectious. I also appreciated your listening ear. We all have rough patches in life and it is good that we can support each other. I will always be here for you, Luci. I’m proud of you and the woman you have become. Good luck with the trip! I will be following your blog and praying for you.

Ilove the picture of you Luci. I cannot find any pictures of you and Ann along the camino. If you have some, could you forward a few to me, particularly if you took any when Claire and I were travelling along with you. Thanks, congratulations to you both on a wonderful accomplishment, and may the spirit of the camino live on in you forever! Karen

    Hi Luci,
As someone who knows you only through your words, you are very inspirational. I came across your posts by accident one day, and your journey expressed the same challenges I thought I was facing alone in my own life. Thank you for taking the opportunity to share who you are with others. It confirms for me, that although we are very different people, everyone is connected in some way.
    Best of luck to you.
